I have developed my professional career in the field of the environment, but in different sectors: government, civil society and international affairs, in the last 25 years. As Secretary of the Environment of Mexico City, I had the opportunity to launch the first Green Plan, to develop the first Climate Action Plan and to create the first public bicycle system (Ecobici) in Latin America.
I obtained the degree of Master of Liberal Arts in the field of Sustainability at Harvard University (2019).
In my current role within the Mexican Foreign Ministry, my responsibility is the design and implementation of Mexico's foreign policy before international organizations, the coordination of the policy of openness and cooperation with the international human rights system, dialogue with organizations of the civil society and the coordination of Mexico's participation in forums on the environment and climate change, gender, disarmament and non-proliferation, combating illicit trafficking in small arms and light weapons, crime prevention and the promotion of democracy, as well as the agenda of sustainable peace.
