I've been a meteorologist since 2003, with a focus on extreme weather, climate and society since 2005, and a weather journalist since 2010. I see the next 20-30 years being dominated by increasing human, societal, and economic exposure to accelerating weather and climate variability and extremes. By making my weather and climate coverage personal, interactive, interesting and engaging, my goal is to inspire action on climate change to lessen the impact these extremes will have on what I think is the most crucial features of 21st century life: threatened ecosystems, small sustainable farms, interconnected local communities, and cities around the world. I try to walk the walk as best I can. But, I believe we can do amazing things by working together.
